Pm's Comments On Education Misleading Parents
 
Responding to the PM's comments that he intends to plough on with his education reforms and that the plans 'specifically forbid a return to selection',

Liberal Democrat Spokesperson for Tooting, Stephanie Dearden said:-

 "Tony Blair is misleading parents about the impact of his plans for schools. Letting every primary and secondary school in England set their own admissions policies will result in schools choosing pupils, not parents choosing schools.
"Our schools need smaller class sizes, more specialist teachers and anew curriculum; reforms that actually change what happens in the classroom. Blair's plans will make school admissions more complicated and less fair."
